Students in sixth grade at JKHA are wearing the hats of an engineer and a maker to design and create a toy within defined specifications in the library’s MakerSpace. They worked in groups to create and investigate how their toy would follow Newton’s three laws of motion on earth. They will extend their thinking to space, by predicting how their toys would follow the laws in space. This toy MakerSpace project is helping students visualize physical science in action both on earth and in space.
