(Courtesy of Soroka Hospital) The June 4 Pillars of Progress Gala, hosted by the American Friends of Soroka Medical Center at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, will celebrate healthcare innovation and resilience. It will spotlight Soroka Medical Center’s heroic role in healing Israel’s wounded and the establishment of the Dr. Joel Sheinfeld Urology Institute.

Esteemed honorees will include H.E. Rabbi Dr. Elie Abadie, Dr. David Goldberg and Dr. Joel Sheinfeld. Co-chaired by Carlos M. Gutierrez, Angela Retelny and Ruth Steinberg, the evening will support emergency aid for the trauma, ICU and rehabilitation departments, and the new urology institute.

Located in Beersheva, 22 miles from Gaza, Soroka is the sole major medical center for Israel’s south.
