Singer Jacqueline Novikov (sister of JLNJ editor Elizabeth Kratz) and pianist Judy Pang will take seniors on a musical tour filled with Hollywood glamour at the JCC of Middlesex County on Tuesday, March 24. The show is called “Sound Stage” and will be performed at 1:30 p.m. at the JCC on 1775 Oak Tree Rd, Edison, NJ 08820.
The show will include a sparkling mix of songs from the silent film era to today, with Broadway tunes and opera selections that uncover the humor, tragedy and off-the-wall world of celebrity culture and film-making.
“We’re looking forward to bringing the sounds of Hollywood to the senior community at the JCC. Audience members will be delighted with our smart song selection and engaging musical trivia that bring lesser-known musical gems to light alongside beloved Broadway hits,” Novikov said.
Seniors will enjoy selections from well-known Broadway shows, including Sunset Boulevard and Grease, and discover masterpieces from lesser-known musicals, such as Chaplin: The Musical, Grand Hotel and My Favorite Year.
