(Courtesy of Touro University) On Wednesday June 21, the second annual Staten Island Ferry Hawks Jewish Heritage Night was held at SIUH Community Park. The Lander College for Men/Touro University baseball team attended the game and were honored.
The Lander students in the sports marketing class assisted Michael Goldberg of the Ferry Hawks in organizing a fun and exciting Jewish Heritage Night. The Wagner College Holocaust Center, SI COJO and the SI Jewish Community Center were co-sponsors of the game. The Elmora Little League came out for the and were super excited to be on the field for autographs, “Hatikva,” and the U.S. National Anthem. Glatt kosher food was available to purchase. The exciting game against the Long Island Ducks went to 14 innings with the Ferry Hawks winning 4-2.
