On February 5, Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield welcomed a new sefer Torah. The Torah was sponsored by Evy and Shimmy Stein on fulfilling this singular mitzvah in honor of Evy’s mother and in memory of Evy’s father and Shimmy’s parents and sister. “May the many mitzvos of its purchase and subsequent use be a zechus for all,” said Rabbi Yaakov Neuburger. The sefer was danced from the home of the Steins to the shul, on an unseasonably warm and beautiful morning.
