(Courtesy of Stein Yeshiva) On Tuesday, June 6, Stein Yeshiva of Lincoln Park held their annual dinner at the Young Israel of Scarsdale, honoring Eitan and Nina Finkelstein of New Rochelle, David and Michelle Shteingart of Riverdale, Sarah Kent of Queens and Akiva Spingarn, a Stein Yeshiva alumnus. Rabbi Joseph Cherns, the menahel of Stein Yeshiva, spoke about the importance of the “capital cities” of countries, while Hashem views the true capitals to those areas that contain centers of Torah learning. Stein Yeshiva, embedded in Yonkers, is such a place of Torah learning that Hashem blesses.
The dinner attendees were entertained by the very funny Jewish comedian and Stein parent, Eli Lebowicz. After enjoying the delicious food, the evening ended with an exceptional auction with many winners. Everyone who attended enjoyed the special ambiance of the yeshiva dinner!
