Stein Yeshiva Remembers The Chayalim

This year, Veterans Day carried a very special meaning as the children not only remembered those who fought, and continue to serve, in the armed forces to keep us safe, but also the chayalim who are fighting to keep Eretz Yisroel safe. The children in the 3-year-old classes and up discussed why the day is special—each class according to its level. The kindergarten and pre-1a discussed what being a soldier is and what the can do to support the chayalim. The children even learned that they had their very own veteran right there at Stein Yeshiva—a morah who served in the Israeli army. The kinderlach drew pictures for the chayalim and the yeladim in the older grades wrote beautiful letters which have been sent to Eretz Yisroel to be distributed. While the kinderlach drew their pictures they listened to the beautiful Mishebeirach song for the chayalim and were sure to join in the “amen” at the end. May they all be safe and return home to their families soon.
