At Stein Yeshiva in Yonkers, the parshat hashavua inspires the weekly arts and crafts in the 2-year-olds’ class. Betzalel made the kiyor from the mirrors that the women used in Mitzrayim, then Moshe, Aaron and their sons used it to wash their hands and feet when they came to the Mishkan. These little artisans each decorated personalized washing cups. They then focused on the mitzvah of washing their hands and saying the brocha of al netilas yadayim. Continuing with the water theme, the children enjoyed sensory water play.
