The RKYHS Blood Drive Committee organized a successful blood drive at school. The committee plans two blood drives a year and takes care of every aspect leading up to the drive, including publicizing it through various channels like social media, designing t-shirts and volunteering the day of the blood drive itself to ensure that it runs smoothly. In advance of the blood drive, the committee brought in a guest speaker to educate other students and discuss the importance of donating blood, including the fact that every donation of blood saves three lives—this blood drive collected 40 units of blood which means 120 lives were saved. This is the thirteenth straight year that the committee has run RKYHS blood drives.
