Sukkot is an incredible time for meaningful programming in honor of the chag. Students at WTA, who recently moved into their new permanent home in New Rochelle, enjoyed Chol Hamoed to its fullest!
Activities included a glow-in-the-dark silent Simchat Bet Hashoeva, a special school-wide tekes (assembly) with Ushpizin and Ushpizot, a visit from the Ballooner Rebbe and the annual Simchat Torah Parade. Students sang and danced through a beautiful Hallel b’tzibur with their arbat haminim, and had the opportunity to eat their snacks and lunch in the Sukkah built by the seventh and eighth graders.
Middle schoolers also partook in a lulavim (staff) v. etrogim (student) kickball game, as well as a unique team building activity that promoted problem solving and collaboration. They ended the week with an incredible game of Chesed Shark Tank.
Between the meaningful learning, singing, dancing, and joyous avira of chag, these days provided an incredible opportunity to celebrate Chag Sukkot together as a school community.
