Netivot students had the chance to vote on something specific to their level in the school, like voting for state legislators, and on something school-wide, like voting for the president. On the “state” level, students voted for things like what their next read-aloud book would be or what type of fun half-hour period they would like to have. Then, on the “national” level, each student got to vote on a special school-wide snack: kettle chips or layered fruit bars. And the winner is … layered fruit bars!
