(Courtesy of PTI) Rabbi Aharon Pessin is a Torah anytime “superstar” speaker, with 24,000 videos on his own website, Torah24-7.com. He will speak on July 4 at 10 a.m. at Yeshiva Ner Boruch-Passaic Torah Institute (PTI) in Passaic, when a gala hot breakfast buffet will be served.

Pessin has written 25 seforim including: “The Measure for Measure Haggadah,” featuring commentary by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky; “The Measure for Measure Megillat Esther;” “The Measure for Measure Bentcher;” and his encyclopedic work, “Midah K’neged Midah,” containing over 12,000 sources of measure for measure in Tanach. His topics run the gamut from life and death issues to dreams and aliens.

Pessin advertises his “business” of getting people private appointments with the greatest gedolim for a modest fee. His roster of 30 sages has included Rabbi Shalom Yosef Elyashiv, the gaon who was over 100 years old; Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Sheinberg, who wore 100 pairs of tzitzit; Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, who completed the entire Gemara every year; and former Sephardi Chief Rabbi Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.

“The Measure for Measure Megillas Esther,” one of 25 books.

“Each person wants something different,” he said, whether to daven with the rabbi, ask a question, get a bracha, or cry about medical or family woes. Even international businessmen seek their counsel. “People often come away from the experience of meeting a gadol with a certain calmness combined with a feeling of being uplifted. This can carry people for weeks,” he said. “Looking at the face of a wise person brings sanctity to one’s soul. Seeing a tzadik can awaken one to do teshuva.”
