My name is James Wolff and I am writing to express my strong support for Jennifer Levy, a candidate for the Teaneck Board of Education. The views expressed here are my personal views and expressions and do not reflect the official policy or position of the Board of Education.
Having served on the Board of Education, I know firsthand the challenges and responsibilities that come with this role. Jennifer Levy is someone who not only understands these challenges but is uniquely equipped to tackle them. As a longtime Teaneck resident with over 20 years of experience in both education and law, Jennifer brings a perspective that is sorely needed in our district. Her work as a public school teacher, a day school general studies principal and now as an attorney gives her a deep understanding of the complexities facing our schools today.
In addition to her professional qualifications, Jennifer is also a parent with firsthand experience in our district. Her child attended Lowell Elementary School and Benjamin Franklin Middle School, giving her a clear understanding of both the strengths and challenges our schools face. This personal connection to the district makes her commitment to improving our schools all the more powerful.
Jennifer’s platform is built on three key pillars: Kids, Community and Transparency. These values are at the core of her vision for Teaneck’s schools. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every student receives the support and education they deserve. But beyond that, Jennifer recognizes the importance of accountability. She knows that transparency and accountability go hand in hand, and she will work tirelessly to ensure that our district and board are answerable to the public. This openness is essential for preventing conflicts of interest and unethical behavior, allowing us to make decisions that truly benefit all of our students.
Jennifer also understands that the best decisions are made when we collaborate. She believes that by fostering a culture of shared responsibility between educators, parents and administrators, we can ensure that every stakeholder feels heard and valued. This approach not only strengthens community relationships but also ensures that decisions are made in the best interests of our students.
In addition, Jennifer is committed to making sure our schools are equipped with the resources necessary to support both academic and extracurricular activities. She believes in fostering an inclusive environment where all students, regardless of background or ability, have access to quality education and opportunities for personal growth.
As someone who has been through the journey of running for the Board of Education, I know how challenging it can be. But I am confident that Jennifer Levy has the vision, experience and dedication needed to elevate our district. I urge my fellow Teaneck residents to support her in the upcoming election on Nov. 5.
