I wish to respond to letter-writer Earl Sandor, whose numerous pro-Hillary Clinton/Democratic Party/anti-Trump views have appeared in The Jewish Link on various occasions (“Democrats’ Shame Is Nothing Compared to Trump,” March 20, 2019). For any Jew, religious or not, affiliated or not, Zionist or not, etc., to side and to espouse the current Democratic Party’s narrative is quite remarkable and astonishing.
Be that as it may, the letter writer is enthralled with the so-called apologies of Omar and Tlaib and the non-specific congressional resolution condemning all forms of racism and ethnic hatred. It seems that defamation on the part of these newbie
politicians is now the new form of discourse across America. Wow!
The letter writer also referred to the Charlottesville parade and President Trump’s famous comments that praised the “very fine people on both sides.” Had this letter writer and 99.99 percent of the fake news media actually parsed each word, as I have (including Trump’s non-sequiturs), of the press conference that day, he would have heard the president talking about the two opposing, permit-issued, groups that were protesting, for or against, the Confederate statues. He was not talking about the Antifa or the White Supremacists who joined in for the “fun” of it.
The letter writer goes on picking and choosing various hate groups and individuals, including a New Zealand nut job, and in need for the “bogeyman,” blames everything on Trump. And yet, nary a word about Obama’s best friends: Farrakhan, Sharpton, Alinsky, Dorn and Ayers: a cadre of anti-Semites, Marxists and terrorists, respectively.
Supporting the current Democratic Party? You’ve got to be kidding.
