The Kitchen at Bed Bath & Beyond was proud to partner with her in 2019 for a successful series of sold-out kosher cooking classes, focused on showcasing classic Jewish dishes in an easy-to-learn way, perfect for the home cook. During her time at The Kitchen in March, Susie will be teaching several “Getting Ready for Passover” themed classes for both individuals and groups with a variety of unique concepts, perfect for any home cook interested in learning more about kosher cooking.
Classes will be available starting on March 17 and will feature the following menu options for guests to choose from:
2020 Seder Ideas #1: A variety of classic Seder dishes including tri-colored matzah ball soup, tomato leek California beef roast, melanzane scarponcino, silan roasted vegetables and warm chocolate soufflés
2020 Seder Ideas #2: Additional choices for a Passover Seder including Jerusalem artichoke soup, orange fennel salad with warm tomato vinaigrette, crispy chicken lollipops served over spaghetti squash with shawarma mayonnaise and shaved maple brussels sprouts and lemon tiramisu
Passover Mid-Week Dinner: Easy and comforting dishes perfect for a weeknight dinner including fattoush salad, ranchero soup, shakshuka, Israeli spiced chicken or citrus-poached salmon and melting chocolate meringues
Registration is now open to the public and seats are currently available in both daytime and evening classes for just $75. Interested guests can book space online by visiting thekitchen.bedbathandbeyond.com, and call the location at 973-434-2700 with any questions.
The largest kosher supermarket in Essex, Union and Morris counties, Aron’s of West Orange will be providing all ingredients for the classes from its 9,000-square-foot facility, which offers the kosher shopper a plethora of options in fresh produce, dairy, take-out, meats and, of course, sushi!
Launched at the end of 2018, The Kitchen offers a wide variety of classes, courses and events for the community to enjoy. The Kitchen will be hosting courses on cooking, baking, gift wrapping, floral arranging and calligraphy. Each class is designed to be a fun and rewarding hands-on experience, and a great opportunity to test-drive new innovative products. Professional workshops and corporate team-building opportunities are also available.
