Dear Shayna,
I bought this really nice sweater. Sometimes people stoop so low as to only be my friends so they can borrow my sweater or other expensive outfits. What should l do?
Sincerely,
Confused Chaya
Dear Confused Chaya,
Let me give you the friend trusting rules:
1. Don’t let your “friend” borrow that pretty sweater of yours.
2. Don’t mention your sweater in front of people.
3. Don’t forget your old friends, who knew you before your acquisition.
If your “friends” say, “Hey Chaya, can l borrow your sweater?.” Say, “Sorry l don’t lend it to people, because l don’t feel comfortable lending people my clothes.” Your “friends” will realize that you will not lend them your sweater or any of your other stylish duds. Just between you and me, you’ll let me borrow your sweater, right?
Best of luck,
Shayna B.
