On Thursday, February 7, Sy Syms School of Business Professor Robert Tufts led a workshop at MTA, which focused on how to develop a business plan. The workshop is part of MTA LEAD, a one-of-a-kind entrepreneurship program designed to empower talmidim with the ability to build on their entrepreneurial ideas and create meaningful and sustainable business projects, while gaining lasting business and communal leadership skills. Talmidim who participate in the program are mentored by industry leaders, as they work in teams to develop their projects.
Professor Tufts is a clinical assistant professor at the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University, where he teaches courses in the business strategy and entrepreneurship department. In addition to degrees from Princeton University and Columbia University School of Business—and a long successful career on Wall Street—Tufts also played professional baseball in the major leagues. Talmidim enjoyed hearing from Professor Tufts and strategizing ways to develop their own business plans with an expert in the field. They also loved hearing about what it’s like to play for the MLB.
