(JNS) Israel launched a missile strike early on Wednesday, November 3, on targets near the town of Zakiyah in Rif Dimashq Governorate, southwest of Damascus,
according to Syrian state media.
The missiles were launched from northern Israel just before 3 a.m. and caused material damage but no casualties, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, citing a military source.
The U.K.-based war monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which has sources on the ground in Syria, reported that the targeted sites hosted weapons and ammunition warehouses used by Iran-backed militias, as well as the headquarters of the Syrian Army’s 4th Division.
The strike is the second in the Damascus area attributed to Israel in the past five days.
