The TABC Storm wrestling team experienced a lot of success on the mat, despite bringing the smallest squad they’ve had in years. Junior Moshe Zelig finished in third place in the 170 pound group while juniors Noah Lebowitz and Shmuel Shulkes took home first place in the 120 and 195 weight classes respectively. Sophomore Daniel Delman earned top honors too, winning the 145 weight pound division. Finally, graduating senior and team captain Aron Major was honored with the Aryeh Zinkin Yeshiva Wrestling Award, awarded annually to a wrestler who has “defied the odds to pursue a Torah identity while demonstrating a commitment to advancing the Jewish community.” Yasher koach to Aron and all of TABC’s wrestlers! The team will look to make even more noise at next year’s tournament as they now pivot to offseason training.
