TABC’s Rabbi Jake Berman has initiated a program with his senior Gemara shiur called VHaarev Na. The program’s mission is to build students’ self-confidence and sense of accomplishment in their learning by focusing on mastering translation as well as continuous chazara of the sugyot. Last week, Rabbi Dovid Newman, the founder of the program, invited Rabbi Berman’s shiur out to Monsey to enjoy a delicious catered meal. He spoke about the importance of the talmidim believing in themselves and how he is confident that this program will not only help them grow in their limud but also in their relationships with Hashem. Students walked away with some gifts including a set of mini shas and a shtender, among some more whimsical items like a basketball and chocolate. Each talmid also received a brand new VHaarev Na Gemara, a special pen, a coffee mug and, most importantly, felt like a superstar. The shiur is off to an amazing start and is looking forward to a great year!
