At TABC an appreciation of art can very much be in harmony with the religious outlook of a ben Torah. Rav Kook famously wrote a letter extolling the opening of the Bezalel Art School in Israel. In keeping with this hashkafa, TABC’s 11th grade Art Appreciation class toured the Metropolitan Museum of Art last week. There they enjoyed a guided, interactive tour, followed by time to explore the museum on their own to find some of the works of art they had studied in class.
