Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Last Wednesday, TABC celebrated Pink Day, a day devoted to raising awareness of and funds for finding the cure to breast cancer. This year’s Pink Day was dedicated in memory of Rochie Shoretz z”l, the founder of Sharsheret. Rochie’s son Dovid Mirsky, a TABC senior, spoke movingly about his mother and the power of chesed. The students then participated in a yom iyun on issues of medical ethics and the Torah perspective on suffering, with shiurim by both the rebbeim and the science department of TABC.

Pink Day, which first began at TABC, has become an international event, raising thousands of dollars for Sharsheret. TABC alone raised over $4,000 leading up to Pink Day.
