TABC sophomores in Ayelet Kopel’s chemistry class became the teachers last week. Pairs of students researched different scientists who contributed to the modern model of the atom and then shared their findings with the rest of the class. From Thomson to Heisenberg, Curie and Einstein, each presentation helped the class understand the experiments and research that went into crafting the understanding of the modern atomic model. Additionally, each pair of students created a facts sheet that will go up on the wall to create a timeline of research that started with Dalton and continues through today.
