TABC Color War Fills the Halls With Colorful Ruach

Last week was Color War at TABC and the school was filled with ruach. This year the team themes were: freshman: RIETS and Captain America, sophomores: Bais Midrash Govoha and Batman, juniors: Ponevezh and the Hulk, and seniors: The Mir and the Flash.

Day one activities included skills competitions (three point contest, hockey breakaways, hockey accuracy, chess tournament, arm wrestling, Bananagrams in English and in Hebrew), Super Sports (gaga, ultimate soccer, elimination and wacky races), basketball games, hockey games, cake decorating, board game competitions (Blokus, Stratego and Rummikub) and a puzzle build. While some students participated in these activities, other students were working on decorating the rooms, writing the songs, creating the Stomps and making the banner. The leadership of each grade made sure to find something for everyone.

The second day included a four way challenge (line-up, most accurate pitch, dodge ball, Super Smash Bros, volleyball, Sudoku/ Ken-Ken and Face-Off). Activities including home-run derby, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, See-Run-Build challenge, college bowl, plastic stick hockey, mini hockey, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, ping pong, pool, an Apache relay and lacrosse. Groups from each team decorated rooms reflecting the theme of their team, displaying tremendous creativity, originality and teamwork. The day concluded with banner presentations, Stomp and song—there was truly something for everyone. What an incredible show of both grade spirit and school unity. Mazel tov to the senior class for its victory in this year’s Color War.
