Teaneck– Over 470 participants attended the Torah Academy of Bergen County (TABC)’s 32nd Annual Dinner, which raised a record amount of money for the school’s campaign. Held last week at Keter Torah, the event was chaired by Alisa Levy of Teaneck and Lauryn Weiser of New Rochelle. Attendees were presented with tribute videos featuring Guests of Honor Lianne and Etiel Forman, Service Awardee Norman Blumenthal, and Alumni Service Awardee Etan Bluman,’06. The Formans, parents of TABC alumnus Yakir, ’11 and senior Gavi, ’15, have been involved in TABC for many years, with Etiel serving as past president and currently serving on the Executive Board. Lianne has served as Annual Dinner chair, and in variety of other volunteer roles. Norman Blumenthal, a mentor and role model, is TABC’s JV Hockey and Baseball Coach. With his quiet determination and love of sports, Norm has led the TABC JV Hockey team to six straight championship wins. Etan Bluman, a graduate of TABC class of 2006, continued his involvement ever since–as a coach, participating in the Kollel program and on the inaugural board of the Alumni Association.
