Extra base hits cascaded off the lively bats of TABC hitters, as the Storm Varsity Softball Team evened their season record with 11-5 and 12-4 victories in a doubleheader against MTA. There were many hitting stars: Solo Shulman crushed a grand slam home run; David Margolis (Margo) and Eli Raice both belted three-run blasts; Dan Levy continued his torrid pace with four hits on the day. Ezra Zinberg and Sam Eisenstadter again played stellar outfield defense. But the defensive gem of the day, a backhanded stop of a scorching groundball far to his right, was turned in by Margo the Magician who transformed a hit into an infield out. Buddy Wise pitched both games, relying on guile to keep the MTA hitters guessing.
