TABC Hockey Storms Past MTA

Carrying a three game winning streak, the TABC Storm took on their longtime rival, the MTA Lions, on Sunday night in a rematch of last year’s championship game. The Storm came out firing early and took control of the game from the drop of the puck, taking a 3-0 lead on goals by seniors Shmuel Levy, Judah Wertenteil and Yehoshua Zirman. That lead would stand

going into the locker room after the first period. The Storm knew that the Lions would not lie down after just one period and that they needed to have the same intensity throughout the remainder of the game. With stellar defense and solid goal tending from Craig Klein, the lead the Storm built in the first period would last providing the Storm with their fourth win and their first shutout of the season. The final score was 3-0. Up next for the Storm, a trip to the “shoebox” home of the highly rated HAFTR Hawks.
