TABC Holds Special Pre-Pesach Learning Program

On April 9, TABC held a very special after-school program. The talmidim were joined by Rabbi Daniel Kalish, the head of the Waterbury Yeshiva, accompanied by a number of his talented students. What followed was an unbelievable two and a half hour evening. Rabbi Kalish spoke about how Pesach is a time to remind ourselves that we can make changes in our lives and that we should never feel stuck. After some more words of Torah were shared the guitars came out, as everyone enjoyed many beautiful songs, not just “Tatty My King.” As the TABC students played and sang alongside the Waterbury students, you could almost feel the holiness in the room. It was then time to eat as Holy Schnitzel was brought in and it truly felt like a seudat mitzvah. Often when food is served at after-school programs it signifies the end of the program but on this night it was just a dinner break. Immediately after everyone ate, there was more singing and Rabbi Kalish spoke once again. He gave a beautiful insight as to why the matzah is supposed to touch the marror and discussed how we have the ability to overcome whatever marror we may have in our lives. It was truly an inspiring and meaningful evening, which was well-timed, as we prepare for Chag HaMatzot.
