TABC’s seniors were educated last week by Mr. Benjamin Hutt, the regional director of TeachNJ, about the vital importance of registering to vote and the impact voting in local elections can have on legislators who make decisions based on the turnout in our local Orthodox communities both in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Hutt brought along hard copies of voter registration forms and guided the seniors through the process of completing the forms. He informed the students that New Jersey just passed a law under which 17-year-olds can vote in the primary in June if they will turn 18 by Election Day in November, so unlike other years, almost every student will be eligible to vote before the summer!
