On Sunday, November 16th, TABC had the pleasure of hosting 18 teams for the National History Bowl and National History Bee competitions. The National History Bowl, founded in 2010, is a history quiz competition for students throughout the country, including public schools, private schools and one other yeshiva high schoold. The History Bowl’s regional and state qualifying tournaments lead to the National Championships in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA in the spring of 2015. Dr. Garry Katz serves as the TABC team advisor.
Over the course of the day four different events took place on both the junior varsity and varsity level. In the team competition of the History Bowl, the TABC junior varsity team of Yehuda Koslowe (’17), Akiva Hirsch (’17), Moshe Davis (’17) and Yosef Aryeh Kahan (’18) qualified for the National tournament by taking second place.
