TABC Israel Advocacy Club Has Busy Month

On Sunday, September 22, club members, seniors Ezra Baron, Ezzie Kilimnick and Sam Weinberg represented TABC at a NORPAC gathering for Maine Congresswoman Susan Collins.

That same evening, a delegation of 15 TABC students attended a workshop at Congregation Rinat Yisrael run by the rescue and relief organization, IsraAID. Senior Ezra Seplowitz said the workshops were informative and inspiring. “I always knew about IsraAID and its important work, but it was so inspiring to hear first-hand about their experiences in places like Nepal and Haiti.”

Finally, on Monday, September 23, TABC alumnus and Israel activist, Avi Rosalimsky addressed the club on the importance for a Torah observant Jew to connect with non-Orthodox Jews and to “make the case” for Israel. Particularly at the present time when so many non-Orthodox Jews are either indifferent or antagonistic toward Israel, Rosalimsky stressed the role of TABC students in teaching those less knowledgeable about Israel and countering anti-Israel propaganda.
