Last Thursday, Ariella Rosenbaum’s 11th grade physics class took a trip down the hall to Studio 1600, TABC’s state-of-the-art music studio, to round out their unit on the physics of sound and music. Jacob Spadaro, the director of TABC’s music program, showed the students how he helps their peers in the music elective produce TABC’s albums. The physics students connected the concepts of frequency, standing waves and reflection to the design of the studio and also got to see the inner workings of a grand piano. Interdisciplinary learning at its best!
