The TABC JV basketball team took on the SAR Sting for the second time in a one week span on Tuesday night. After the defending champs got knocked off by the Storm last week in Riverdale, the Sting were determined to get even in Teaneck. TABC came out with the pedal on the gas from the opening tip, beginning the game on a 15-0 run. SAR abandoned the 2-3 zone and switched to man and the game evened out in the second quarter. The Sting couldn’t recover from that slow start though and the Storm led by 10 at halftime. The second half saw TABC dominate all over the court via freshman Tani Stein’s movement off the dribble, sophomore Zachy Lowe’s presence down low, the unbelievable star play of freshman Ezra Adams, and lights out 3-point shooting from sophomore Sammy Haberman. The balanced scoring attack carried TABC to a 52-33 win to remain unbeaten. They have already surpassed their win total from last season. Coach Shlomo Weissberg has the team riding a wave of confidence as they head into the final stretch of their regular season.
