TABC JV Basketball Defeats SAR, Advances To Championships

(TABC Sports) TABC’s JV basketball Storm hosted SAR last Thursday with a spot in the finals on the line. These two teams met previously in the regular season back at The Hive in Riverdale, where TABC came out victorious in overtime and everyone assumed this was going to be a tight one again. SAR came flying out of the gate and jumped to an early lead. After a slow start to the game, the Storm reminded everyone why they have been undefeated in Yeshiva League play.

Sophomore stalwart Eyal Kinderlehrer’s size was too much for the Sting to handle. The JV MVP candidate ended the night with a double double of 19 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Sophomore Yonah Mandel also paced the Storm offense with 10 points, and Benzion Keiser provided some key offensive rebounds, and TABC won resoundingly 57-29. The Storm will now play in the championship game against Ramaz this Sunday at Yeshiva University. The Rams lost the lone regular season matchup between these two teams earlier in the season in Teaneck by 15. They go in as massive underdogs, hoping the neutral court this time will give them a fighting chance. Meanwhile, TABC will be aiming to win their second JV basketball championship in five years.
