(Courtesy of TABC) After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, TABC’s JV hockey team is back on the court and getting ready for competitive play, starting with practices during the team’s traditional slot on Sunday mornings. For years, TABC’s JV hockey players have gathered on Sunday morning for Shacharit, followed by a hearty bagel breakfast and a high-energy practice. “It sets a great tone for the week,” said Rav Yitz Rabovsky, TABC’s athletics director. “It’s no secret that it’s hard to wake up teenagers. Starting the week with minyan and running sprints before 10 a.m. is a good rush of physical and spiritual adrenaline.” Both JV and varsity hockey are poised to continue their winning traditions this coming season.
