TABC JV Softball Mercies Heichal in Come-From-Behind Win

The TABC JV softball team came back from four runs down to ultimately thrash the Heichal HaTorah Hornets, 14-4, in five innings on a rainy and cold Friday afternoon at Votee Park. The Storm’s bats were completely silenced for the first three innings and couldn’t get anything going. That and mounting errors gave Heichal a 4-0 lead at the end of three. But the next two innings belonged to TABC. Captains and sophomores Elan Goldstein and Ari Smith hit out of the park homers and going into the fifth inning, the game was tied up at four. The next inning saw RBI singles from freshman duo Yis Kaminetzky and Netanel Eckman before the rest of the lineup got in on the fun. Kaminetzky also blasted in the last run and the Storm went from 4-0 down to up 14-4 in the blink of an eye to spare the last two innings of ball. The Storm is now 4-1 and will close out their regular season next weekend against JEC.
