Last Thursday the TABC JV Storm took on the Roemer Renegades looking to raise money for tzedakah and to get ready for the playoffs. The TABC boys decided it would be cool to raise money for a “Home” and “Away” tzedakah with the game benefitting Project Ezrah locally and Migdal Ohr in Israel.
With their families cheering them on and the refs calling a very loose game on the interior, the Roemer chevra jumped out to a strong start on the backs of Steven “the statue” Brandsdorfer and Doug Rothchild. TABC kept itself within striking distance in the 1st half on strong shooting by Andrew Haberman and good ball movement in general. Moshe Orlinsky controlled the tempo and 3rd quarter, finding the open guy while Israel Wallach was taking it coast to coast at will. TABC mounted a 4th quarter rally, but came up just short as the Roemer guys held on for a 39-38 win.
All in all, it was a great night as the event raised $2,000 for the tzedakahs.
