This past Wednesday, TABC’s delegation of 14 congressmen descended upon Capitol Hill (The Young Israel of Woodmere) to participate in Yeshiva League Model Congress. Students joined in one of 15 different committee sessions together with peers from 11 other local yeshiva high schools. They crafted their own bills, presented their proposals in front of judges and fellow committee members and were afforded the opportunity to debate the myriad of pressing issues facing our nation. Juniors Matan Leff, Meir Barg, and Zev Jarashow each earned ‘Best Delegate’ honors in their respective committees, while Alex Kalb and Ami Malek were recognized for honorable mention.
