TABC Partners With Yeshivas Bais Mordechai For Morning Kollel

(Courtesy of TABC) Shacharit at TABC may not start until 8 a.m., but increasing numbers of students are starting their days nearly an hour earlier. Every day, first-year TABC rebbe Rav Ari Solomon, who is also a TABC alumnus, gives a morning chabura/shiur to TABC boys in Yeshivas Bais Mordechai down the street before they come to school for davening. The men in the beit midrash are blown away by this cohort of 15 young men who wake up before sunrise to come learn Torah. The group recently completed the original Hebrew edition of “Shearim B’Tefillah’’ by Rabbi Shimshon Dovid Pinkus, zt”l. The boys earn a $10 kollel stipend, just like the working baalei batim who learn alongside them. This extra Torah learning is just one of many opportunities TABC students have to supplement their time with their rebbeim in the classroom. TABC also offers chaburas throughout the day and as part of nightly Night Seder. Additionally, every Sunday morning, students have the opportunity to learn with Rabbi Kessel at TABC’s Sunday Morning Kollel.

Next week, the Yeshivas Bais Mordechai group willI be starting another Rav Pinkus sefer about learning to love Torah and understanding why exactly we spend our lives dedicated to learning. All TABC students, freshmen through seniors, are invited to join in this incredible opportunity and tremendous kiddush Hashem!
