TABC Performs Chesed in Philadelphia

A group of TABC’s talmidim recently traveled to Philadelphia, where they worked with the Jewish Relief Agency packing and personally delivering food packages for families in need. They also visited the Inglis House, a home for individuals with MS or Cerebral Palsy. A poignant video from the Inglis House (https://vimeo.com/196296600) shows Rabbi Friedman and the boys presenting a frame to an artist with disabilities for one of his favorite paintings he had made before losing the ability to paint. A previous TABC contingent had met him, remembered him telling them about this particular painting, and how upset the gentleman was that he could no longer create art. To say he was touched is an understatement. After leaving the Inglis House, the students toured Lev Bikur Cholim in Lakewood, an organization which hosts families that have someone in the hospital. After a game of soccer with a group of students from SCHI, a school for students with special needs, the trip concluded with singing and dancing at the Kessler Rehabilitation Center of West Orange. It was a truly meaningful and inspiring experience for all.
