Over 100 of TABC’s talmidim participated in a pre-Purim shabbaton in Teaneck last Shabbat. On Friday night, a meaningful, united davening at the yeshiva was followed by a seudah with many of the rebbeim and their families in attendance. After dinner, the beit midrash was abuzz with the sounds of students engaged in hachana, followed by Rabbi Raphi Mandelstam presenting a wonderful shiur on the topic of Purim. Rabbis Yoni and Raphi Mandelstam then united to lead a rocking tish. On Shabbat morning, after davening in local teen minyanim, the group gathered for a communal kiddush graciously hosted by the Spinowitz family and then went to their rebbeim’s houses for the second seudah. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the warm rebbe/talmid bonds which are formed daily at TABC. Shabbat concluded with the talmidim returning to the yeshiva for mincha, learning and seudah shlishit. TABC is gratified that so many of its students were eager to spend Shabbat together in their home away from home.
