On Thursday, October 24, Rabbi Jachter visited Rutgers and delivered a shiur on the positive side of being an “am keshei oref.” Rabbi Jachter explained how being an “am keshei oref” is how Bnai Yisrael maintained their fidelity to Torah and mitzvot even in the most trying of times. It also helps fortify our belief in the Torah as a divine document since it is unreasonable to believe that an “am keshei oref” would be deceived. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for Rabbi Jachter and students to be able to reconnect.
