TABC’s 12th-grade engineering students have been working on indoor automated gardening systems, with the goal of growing some produce indoors during the winter months. Last Wednesday, they had the privilege of hearing from Yosef Gillers, founder of GrowTorah, an organization that creates experiential learning gardens at various Jewish day schools. Gillers shared a Torah perspective on farming and caring for the environment in general, as well as some practical tips for the students as they design their projects and figure out ways to provide what their plants need through automation. Stay tuned for news of what they’ve grown!
