This past Sunday, TABC’s JV Soccer opened up its season against Frisch, a rematch of last year’s semi-final game won by TABC.
With a tentative start, both teams were tied at two goals. But as the quarter closed, TABC held a 5-2 lead. Maintaining offensive pressure and control, TABC blew the game open in the second quarter, leading 8-3 at the half and10-3 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, everyone contributed as TABC came away with a 14-4 victory. Goals were scored by Calev Minsky (’16) (4 goals, 2 assists); Aviel Avidan (’17) (2 goals, 1 assist); Yosef Sinai (’16) (2 goals, 2 assists); Meir Golan (’17) (1 goal, 2 assists); Amiel Rimberg (’16) (1 goal, 1 assist); Yosef Hein (’16) (1 assist); Daniel Levy (’16) (1 goal); Zachry Orenstein (’16) (1 goal); Gilad Ullman (’16) (1 goal); and Areli Bolour (’16) (1 goal). Fine defensive play was offered by the five Joes: Josef Muller (’16), Yosef Sinai (’16), Yosef Mirwis (’16), Yosef Hein (’16), and Joe Moskowitz (’16). Clutch aggressive goaltending was shared by Jared Benjamin (’16), with a shout-out to Judah Lyons (’16) and Yoshi Spivak (’17) for helping to almost shut out Frisch in the 4th period.
