Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

The TABC Storm traveled to NYC to take on the preseason MDY tournament champs, the Heschel Heat. Heschel came out in their suffocating man to man full court defense but TABC was ready for it and were able to break the press and score some easy baskets, in addition to three treys, to jump out to a  16-6 lead after the first quarter. TABC stretched the lead to 11 at half. The 2nd half continued at the same fast pace as the first half with TABC ending the 3rd quarter with a 41-26 lead. Everyone knew it was coming but the Storm were powerless to stop it. The Heat made their move – with their continued press they were able to cut the lead to 8 points until TABC hit some key shots to put an end to the rally and held on for a 55-38 hard fought victory.

TABC was led by the balanced scoring of Alex Hirt, 13 pts (3 treys), Big-man Yehoshua Zirman and Dan Poleyeff (3 treys) with 12 pts a piece and Moshe Brum with 9 pts. Solomon Shulman who handled the press beautifully chipped in with 6 pts.

Heschel was led by Gindi with 14pts and Spiera with 13 pts.
