TABC Storm Take Double Header Against MTA

On Wednesday night February 3, the 12-0 TABC varsity hockey Storm traveled to play MTA for their last road game of the season.

The scoring started early with a quick goal by Captain Daniel Levy. Then, after drawing a penalty, Captain Ari Fuchs rifled in a power play goal. Subsequently, Levy found Yair Knoller, who raised the score to 3-0. With a few minutes left in the 1st, Knoller brought the puck down the wing, passed it to Levy, who gave it back to Knoller, who put the goal in.

With the score still at 4-0 in the third period, Knoller made some beautiful moves and capped it off with a highlight reel goal to bring the score to 5-0. Then Joshua Wertenteil found Josh Lehman in front, who finished off the game with the sixth and final goal.

On Saturday night February 6, senior night for TABC, the TABC varsity hockey team played matched up against the MTA Lions once again, for their final game of the regular season. TABC came out strong with goals by captains Yair Knoller, Calev Minsky and Daniel Levy, all in the first period. In the third period, the Storm really put away the Lions with 6 goals scored by Minsky, Josh Deschino, Shimmy Alter, Ailey Goldstein, Jonah Ganchrow and Yehoshua Naor. Senior goaltender Shua Beilin had a complete game shutout. TABC ended the regular season with a 14-0 record, and now heads into the playoffs against the future winner of Flatbush versus Ramaz.
