TABC Students Mentor Yeshivat He’Atid Sixth Graders in STEM

On Tuesday, April 16, TABC invited Yeshivat He’Atid’s students into the TABC Makerspace for a coding lesson! Six of the 12th grade engineering students (Ariel Gross, Avi Gold, Moshe Golubtchik, Yonatan Katz, Natan Mendelson and Yoni Zirman) planned out a coding lesson for the sixth grade Yeshivat He’Atid science class. The lesson focused on Arduino coding, LED lights and electrical wiring. At the end of the lesson, once the sixth graders had mastered the basics, TABC students showed them some of their advanced engineering projects so they could see the bigger picture of what one can accomplish with STEM. TABC students handled themselves like pros, helping out the sixth graders when they were having trouble and patiently making sure they understood each step of the way. The Yeshivat He’Atid students left excited for future opportunities to explore the world of STEM, and TABC students were thrilled with the experience of sharing what they’ve learned this year. TABC wishes to thank their STEM Coordinator, Aryeh Tiefenbrunn for organizing the program, and Yeshivat He’Atid’s Noah Kalter for coordinating it on their end.
