This past week, as part of their study of the Government of the United States, the Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics class traveled to Trenton, New Jersey to visit the home of the New Jersey state government. By seeing the nexus of our state government, the students hoped to bring their study to life.
The first part of the trip involved a tour of the State House, including a visit to the Assembly and Senate chambers. The students learned how our state government works and some of the differences between state and federal governments. The tour also included a visit to the Governor’s office and the Governor’s press room.
