(TABC) TABC’s varsity hockey team pushed their record to 3-0 with two wins last week. On Monday, November 7, the boys traveled to HAFTR and handily shut out the Hawks 3-0. TABC was led by goalie Chaim Mermelstein who was stellar in net, holding HAFTR to no goals. On Wednesday, November 9, the Storm traveled to Ramaz and beat the Rams 7-4. Shay Fields and Eli Altman had two goals apiece, while seniors Ryan Brandwein, Jacob Mauskopf, and Kovi Lightman each added a goal.
Meanwhile, the JV squad headed south to open the season at JEC on Wednesday, November 9. It was a well-played game on both ends, but the Storm combined for four goals in a two-minute span in the first period to put the game out of reach early. The Storm’s three goalies earned the 8-0 shutout victory (Shia Forgash, Yisrael Zimerman and Netanel Kalb) while Aiden Rauzman ‘25 led the Storm offense with three goals. TABC looks forward to next week, as they begin a stretch of three games in eight days, including their home opener against Ohr Yisroel on November 23.
