(Yeshiva League Pass) The Storm varsity hockey team welcomed the MTA Lions to Teaneck on Monday night and came away victorious 4-0. While the Storm were the heavy favorites, the Lions came out strong and were determined to keep it deadlocked at zero for as long as they could. With under seven minutes remaining in the first period, Jonah Gerson finally broke through for the Storm, and then with under a minute remaining, junior Baruch Shmukler-Karpov roofed one into the net to make it 2-0 Storm at the end of one. In the second period, Shmukler-Karpov blasted in another two goals to complete the hat trick. MTA never got close on net thanks to stellar goaltending from Charles Gibber and Yoel Jacobson. The Storm now go on a five game road trip before returning home next month
